Stew Leonard Jr opened Stew Leonards Wines of Farmingdale (Vineyards of Farmingdale LLC) in 2002. Only 9 years later it was named 2011 Wine Enthusiast Retailer of the Year and Market Watch’s 2017 Retailer of the Year. The store is known for the personal service it provides to customers and its knowledgeable staff, many of whom are certified wine professionals. The store carries close to 2,000 wines from around the world, including more than 200 bottles in the fine wine cellar and more than 1,000 spirits.
